Letter "Cc" Activities

Today's post is about the activities we did for letter C. We had a blast doing all of these as Lady Bug kept on asking for more activities every after sessions.

Letter Identification.

Because she want this spraying activity since we had it on our previous topic, we include it again in our Letter C activities.

Pre-Writing.

Tracing Letter "Cc" using a toy car and paint.

I also ask her to trace the Capital and Small Letter c with this wipe and clean Alphabet Flash Card I bought at Powerbooks.

Phonics.

This activity is similar to the clay surprise activity we did on Letter Bb. But this time instead of hiding the object inside the clay, I bury them on our sensory box. Then we identify which item has a letter B or C sound.

Next was this gathering of objects that starts with letter C.

Spelling Activity.

We made use of our building blocks for this activity, simply write a 3-letter word on the long blocks and one letter per single blocks that will spell the word written on the long blocks. I also place the items beside each blocks that corresponds to the written word to make her understand more what was written on the blocks.

Arts and Crafts.

C is for Caterpillar craft.

c is for crab craft.

Bible Story.

C is for Creation. Made this craft about the story of creation using cardboard, construction papers, glue, stickers, cotton and scotchbrite.

Day 1: Dark and Light

She glued the white paper on the top half of the number 1 to represent the light and leaving the black bottom half that represent the dark.

Day 2: Heaven/Sky

After covering the number 2 with blue construction paper, I asked her to glue the cotton balls that will represent the clouds.

Day 3: Dry land and sea

Again she covered the number with green on top part and blue on the bottom half using a construction paper and then glued the pieces of scotch brite that will represent the grass on the land. Since a normal white glue won't work with the scotch brite, I helped her in this part and used hot glue instead.

.
Day 4: The sun, the moon, and the stars

She covered the number 4 with dark blue construction paper that will represent the night and add the sun, moon and stars stickers.

Day 5: Living creatures in the water and birds in the sky

She covered the number with light blue on top for the sky and the dark blue on the bottom half for the sea and then I asked her to put sea animal stickers on the sea and bird stickers on the sky.

Day 6: Land animals and people

She covered the number 6 with green construction paper, glued the pre-cut paper human figure that I made, and then she covered the rest with the land animal stickers.

Day 7: God rested

She glued the pre-cut letter Z's on the number 7 that has covered with black construction paper.

Jashley and I love doing craft activities regarding the Bible stories we read, this will help her reinforce the lesson we were studying.

Scissor Skills.

Another skills that we were currently practicing is her scissor skills, I bought a no blade plastic scissor from national bookstore, and let her practice cutting with the clay.

Thanks for dropping by!
